Space X’s Falcon 9 launches 23 Starlink satellites into space; marks 47th orbital mission – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Space X on Wednesday launched 23 internet satellites into space from Kennedy Space Center, marking its 47th orbital mission.
The Falcon 9‘s first stage returned to Earth around 8.5 minutes later, landing on the droneship “A Shortfall of Gravitas”, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
According to the SpaceX mission description, this was the third launch and landing of this particular first stage.Prior to this, the booster had completed one Starlink mission and Crew 8 astronat launch.
Meanwhile, the upper stage of the Falcon 9 will continue to deliver the Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit, where they will be deployed around 65 minutes following launch.
This comes after Falcon 9 launched 23 satellites carrying it into low Earth orbit on Monday. Its first stage returned to Earth roughly eight minutes later landing on the droneship “Just Read the Instructions” placed in the Atlantic Ocean, Space.com reported.
According to the SpaceX mission description, this was the 15th launch and landing of this particular first stage.
SpaceX has now conducted 47 orbital missions in 2024, with 32 of them dedicated to the development of the Starlink broadband mega constellation.
