As per media reports, the driver was travelling from Solapur to Pune and stopped at the hotel on the busy Pune-Solapur Highway. He then went inside the hotel and asked for food, but the owner refused as the eatery was closed for the day, First Post reported.
The driver, who was already drunk, was reportedly enraged by this. He started his truck and started ramming the hotel building. A two-wheeler and two four-wheelers parked outside the hotel were also reportedly damaged in this incident.
Locals tried to intervene to stop the driver. In the video, some men were also seen throwing stones at the truck, asking the driver to stop the madness. The man eventually stopped the vehicle after the wheels of the truck ceased to move.
