NIOS 10th, 12th live classes to be aired on Swayam Prabha from June 1, CBSE subjects to be covered

National Institute of Open Schooling or NIOS will start conducting live sessions for senior secondary level (class 12th) and secondary level (class 10th) students on Swayam Prabha DTH channels. The live sessions will cover subjects for which CBSE is yet to conduct the exams. The live sessions for secondary level students will comprise of Yoga, Music, Dance, Art and Crafts and counselling. Empowering bystanders to intervene will help to prevent domestic violence, abuse

A UK-based study has found out that training people to intervene when they witness unacceptable behaviour can help to prevent domestic violence and abuse. Results of the study found that a total of 81 per cent of participants reported being more likely to intervene when they saw wrongdoing after the training, this increased to 89 per cent four months later.Specific training for bystanders makes them “significantly” more confident to take action when they see or hear wrongdoing related to domestic abuse in their community, according to the research.This is the first academic study to examine a bystander programme as a way to tackle domestic violence and abuse in UK communities. NEW DELHI: Riding on the Rs 1.3 lakh crore in aggregate fund raising in the last few weeks, Reliance Industries is expected to repay its entire reported net debt even if the Saudi Aramco deal is delayed, a brokerage report said. The company, controlled by billionaire Mukesh Ambani, has sold minority stakes in its digital arm to Facebook and private equity firms such as Silver Lake, Vista Equity, KKR and General Atlantic to raise a cumulative Rs 78,562 crore. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Sunday denied media reports saying the regulatory body has recommended using 11-digit numbering scheme for mobile services in the country.It released a clarification regarding its recommendations on ‘Ensuring Adequate Numbering Resources for Fixed Line and Mobile Services’ on Friday. Reports had said the usage of 11-digit long mobile numbers was a part of that.“It is a complete misinterpretation of the aforesaid recommendations.
