

Delhi Building Collapse News | Mustafabad House Collapse News Live Updates: At least 4 people, including two women died early today after a four-storey building collapsed in Delhi’s Dayalpur area. While 14 people have been rescued so far, several others are feared trapped under the debris. Rescue operations by teams from NDRF, firefighters and Delhi Police are currently underway. Reacting to the incident, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta expressed her condolences and ordered a probe into the incident, assuring that strict action will be ensured against the culprits. “May God grant peace to the departed souls and give strength to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss,” she said on X.
When did the collapse happen?: The CCTV footage shows the collapse took place at around 2:39 am when occupants were sleeping inside the building. According to Rajender Atwal, Divisional Fire Officer of the Delhi Fire Service, the office was alerted about the incident at 2.50 am. The police said that several families were suspected to be staying inside the building on rent and the tragedy occurred when the occupants were sleeping.
Today’s weather update: Delhi saw a respite from the scorching heat as rain lashed parts of the city on Friday evening. “A fresh cloud cluster has entered Delhi, causing very light to light rainfall and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph. It is likely to move across the city with similar intensity,” the weather department said.
