Apple unveiled its latest iPhone 16 series at a high-profile event yesterday, alongside announcing significant price reductions for older iPhone models, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 14. Apple India has adjusted prices in line with these announcements, making the devices more affordable for Indian consumers.
The price cuts follow earlier reductions in July, which came after the Indian government lowered customs duties on mobile phones and mobile PCBs from 20 per cent to 15 per cent. The latest price drop sees models like the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 receiving a Rs 10,000 reduction across their 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB variants.
The previous flagship models, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, have been removed from Apple’s listings as they make way for the new iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. These new models are priced Rs 15,000 lower, benefiting from domestic assembly in India’s factories.

When Should You Buy New iPhones?
While Apple sets a standard maximum retail price (MRP), customers can often find even better deals from third-party retailers, especially during sales events.
With major sales like the Big Billion Days and Amazon Great Indian Festival expected to kick off in early October, potential buyers may want to hold off on their purchases to take advantage of further discounts.
