The counsel said, “The Hindu Seva Dal is planning to organise a grand procession and event at Red Road from 5 am to 11 am on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.”

It has been alleged that the Kolkata Police did not grant permission for this procession despite repeated requests. Recently, several organisations, including the Vishva Hindu Parishad, had moved Justice Tirthankar Ghosh’s bench to seek permission for Ram Navami rallies, which was granted.
