Bengaluru driver flees with Rs 1.5 crore meant to be deposited in bank, arrested
The Bengaluru police on Tuesday arrested a 45-year-old man for allegedly absconding with Rs 1.51 crore entrusted to him by his employer of over a decade.
The arrested accused, Rajesh B N, a resident of Vyalikaval in Bengaluru, had been working as a driver for a chartered accountant in Kodandaramapura in the city, according to the police.
According to the police, the chartered accountant handed Rajesh a bag containing Rs 1.51 crore on May 5 and asked him to keep it safely in the car, as the amount was meant to be deposited in a bank.
