A gas leak was reported from a chemical company in Thane district of Maharashtra, creating panic across the city on Thursday. According to a report in News18, the authorities are urging residents to stay indoors even as emergency teams have arrived on site.  The incident reportedly occurred in the Ambernath city of Thane district where a gas leak was reported from a chemical company in Morivali MIDC. The authorities have also started an investigation into the cause behind the incident. There were no casualties or injuries reported immediately after the incident. Balasore: The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Navy on Thursday successfully flight tested vertical launch short range surface-to-air missile from Chandipur, off Odisha coast, defence officials said here. The test was conducted around 3 pm from the integrated test range in Chandipur, they said. The flight test was carried out from a land-based vertical launcher, aiming at a high-speed aerial target flying at a low altitude.
