Devendra Pandey: Was there a concern on behalf of the BCCI on how the market would react to the Women’s Premier League (WPL)?
We were never in two minds about it. We weren’t able to start earlier because of Covid. And given how our girls have performed over the last couple of years, be it the Commonwealth Games or the Asia Cup, they have done a phenomenal job on the field and it was the right time to start with this league.
