Abdul Razzaq’s son Ali Razzaq revealed his father’s reaction when he got him out in a Mega Stars League in December last year.
“Can’t explain that feeling in words,” Ali told a YouTube channel.
“He didn’t say anything, and he never spoke about it again. Ammi kaafi khus thi (My mother was very happy),” he added.
Razzaq’s son is a budding cricketer and featured in the Kashmir Premier League for Mirpur Royals, a team coached by his father, as well as appearing for Bahawalpur Raiders in the Pakistan Junior League.

During a match in the Mega Stars League, former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq was nicked off by his son, Ali. It was a dangling a length ball wide outside the off stump which Raazaq senior could only edge through to the keeper, sparking wild celebrations.
“I didn’t get the chance to bowl in the first few matches. When my father came on strike, Shahid Afridi gave me the ball. I was a bit surprised that they were asking me to bowl. My father got unlucky and he got out,” recalled Ali.
