NEW DELHI: Showing off her acrobatic capabilities and quick reflexes, India wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh on Saturday grabbed a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss England opener Danielle Wyatt in the Women’s T20 World Cup match in Gqeberha.
An air-borne Richa plucked a spectacular catch to give India the early edge against England in their third legue match of the tournament.
The incident took place in the very first over of the match when Renuka Singh bowled a back of length delivery outside off. An uncertain Danielle was forced to edge the ball as it flew to the keeper. Richa then dived to her left and grabbed the ball mid-air to complete a sensational catch.
Courtesy a superb effort from Richa, Danielle departed for a golden duck.
