India vs South Africa: Resort stay for India in strict bubble | Cricket News – Times of India

To ensure a biosecure environment in South Africa, the Indian team will be lodged in a resort instead of plush hotels for the upcoming tour of the Rainbow nation.
The Indian team is slated to leave for South Africa from Mumbai on December 16 afternoon. In a relief for the players, they will not have to serve any quarantine upon reaching Johannesburg.
“It is important that the two teams stay at a place where there are no other guests. Even the India ‘A’ and South Africa ‘A’ teams were kept in a hotel where there were no other guests. A resort gives breathing space to the players and their families. They can indulge in outdoor activities and not be confined to closed premises,” a BCCI source said.
