Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta confirmed that city police have issued a look-out circular against Gosavi, news agency PTI reported.

Gosavi was booked for allegedly duping a Pune-based man on the pretext of offering a job in Malaysia. According to reports, the circular has been issued to prevent Gosavi from fleeing the country.

“We have issued a lookout circular notice against KP Gosavi, who has been absconding in a 2018 cheating case registered against him with the Faraskhana police station,” Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta said.

The development comes after Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) spokesperson Nawab Malik alleged that Gosavi and Manish Bhanushali, also seen with those detained from the cruise party, had connections with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The complaint against Gosavi was registered in 2018 under various IPC sections, including 420 (cheating), and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act.
