3M India has developed a solar reflective coating to reduce heat inside train coaches, buses, trucks and other transport. Dubbed as the ‘3M Scotchkote Polytech Exp RG700’, this coating can be applied on metallic and non-metallic surfaces. The company claims that its coating has reduced the temperature in train coaches by 15%. “This coating was also applied on the roof of air-conditioned coaches to enhance energy efficiency of the air-conditioners, thereby reducing its HVAC cost by 20%,” said the company in a statement. Called PAi, the chatbot aims to improve digital financial inclusion in the country. The AI virtual assistant PAi can be accessed 24/7. It will provide users information and guidance about NPCI products round the clock. Customers can ask queries via text or voice on the websites of NPCI, RuPay, and UPI Chalega.
