The Terrace lineup is the first outdoor TV range from Samsung. The idea of this lineup of TVs is to let people enjoy movies outdoors during pleasant weather.
While the design is quite similar to The Frame, these outdoor TVs are IP55-rated waterproof and come with average protection from dust. Also, The Terrace comes with its own soundbar that is IP55 dust and water resistant too and claims to provide clear audio despite outdoor noises.
The Terrace is available in 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch models with QLED 4K resolution. It provides a brightness level of 2,000 nits, so that you get to see content clearly even in broad daylight. It has a high motion rate of MR240 for clear images for sports mode. Also, there is an anti-reflective coating to minimise glare
The TV comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and has the smart TV features based on Tizen OS. The software experience is similar to other premium Samsung smart TVs in the market. Also, there is support for Amazon Alexa, Bixby and Samsung would be adding Google Assistant too going ahead.
The Terrace is launching in the US and Canada initially and will be followed by launches in Germany, Australia and New Zealand and other regions later this year. In India, we can expect the TV to be launched closer to the winter months given the intense summer heat in the country. As far as the pricing is concerned, this new TV range costs more than the Frame series and starts at $3,455 which translates to around Rs 2.62 lakhs in India.
