BHOPAL: The annual income of Congress candidate from Chhindwara Nakul Nath grew by nearly 185% between the last Lok Sabha election and now, and the cumulative assets owned by him and spouse saw an increase of 8.8%, says the affidavit he presented during nomination for the Lok Sabha seat.Nakul, the son of former CM Kamal Nath, is the lone Lok Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh, having survived the BJP wave that swept up 28 of the state's 29 seats.As per the affidavit submitted before ECI, Nakul has declared assets worth Rs 697 crore, his wealth having gone up by Rs 40 crore in the past five years. NEW DELHI: CBI has filed a closure report in a case of alleged irregularities in leasing aircraft for Air India that involved former civil aviation minister Praful Patel among others.
