Complaint filed against Charuni by BKU Haryana unit president | India News – Times of India

KURUKSHETRA: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) Haryana state president Guni Parkash along with his supporters on Wednesday lodged a complaint against BKU Haryana national president Gurnam Singh Charuni at Kurukshetra superintendent of police office, demanding registration of case against him.
Guni alleged that Charuni in a statement given during his march to Delhi along with a cavalcade of farmers from Yamunanagar on Tuesday, allegedly disrespected former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihar Vajpayee and BKU (Mann) national president Bhupinder Singh Mann.
After lodging a complaint at Kurukshetra SP office, Guni threatened to launch an agitation by blocking roads from Thursday, if a case is not registered against Charuni within 24 hours and he is not arrested.
While talking to media outside the SP office, Guni Parkash said, “We have lodged a complaint with Kurukshetra SP as yesterday (on Tuesday) Gurnam Singh Charuni disrespected honourable former Prime Minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee and our union leader Bhupinder Singh Mann by uttering ill words against them and calling them as traitors. Charuni gave a call that wherever he (Mann) is found should be assaulted.”
“We have sought action from the police after immediately registering an FIR against Charuni. SP was not present at the office but we have asked the (concerned) DSP that in any case, we should be handed over the copy of FIR against Charuni and he should be arrested. Tomorrow (on Thursday) we are holding a protest and will seek an answer from the SP. If action is not taken against Charuni, then we will block the road and hold a decisive fight against him”, said Guni.
A supporter of Guni accompanying him said, “Charuni should be immediately arrested as he is a terrorist who talks about Section 370 and breaking the country. If the police fail to take action, we will move court. If he meets us on the way, we will have a decisive fight with him.”
During his march to Delhi on Tuesday, Charuni replied to a query while talking to media that some people (BKU Mann Haryana unit) during a protest at Mathana village on Monday said that Charuni is disturbing law and order in Haryana.
“We are protesting for the rights of the farmers. They are traitors of the country. Those traitors had taken stand for WTO when it was implemented during the Vajpayee government. It was due to those traitors that WTO is implemented in the country today. They are middlemen of America. Such people should be taught a lesson wherever they meet. They had been working for a very long time and it is due to their stand that the farmer of the nation today is in a sorry state”, Gurnam Singh Charuni had said on Tuesday, due to which a complaint has been filed against him.
