Vivo Y70s smartphone with Exynos 880 chipset, triple rear camera launched – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has launched its latest 5G smartphone — Vivo Y70s in China. It is the first smartphone to be powered by the recently launched Exynos 880 processor from Samsung. The smartphone comes with a starting price tag of 1,998 yuan (Rs 21,200) and will go on sale starting June 1. The smartphone will come in three colour options — Black, Blue, and Gradient White.

Vivo Y70s specifications

Vivo Y70s comes with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a 1080×2340 pixel resolution. The smartphone runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own FunTouch OS 10.

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 880 processor paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM. The device offers 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. The handset comes with dual SIM functionality and comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Vivo Y70s sports a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 8MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front is home to a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Measuring 162.07 × 76.61 × 8.46mm, the smartphone is backed by a 4,500 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

On the connectivity front, the Vivo Y70s offer dual 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type C.

Recently, Vivo announced the winners of its ‘Make in India’ logo contest. The smartphone maker announced that this logo will be printed on all the Vivo devices including the recently launched Vivo V19. Along with this, the company also announced investment of Rs 3,500 crore in its upcoming manufacturing facility. The brand’s total investment in India for manufacturing devices will be Rs 7,500 crore.
