TN Police Constable selection process to be done online – Times of India

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) officials have issued a circular to all the commissioners of police and superintendents of police to ensure that potential candidates have internet connections or cyber cafes in the neighbourhood in order to apply for the respective jobs to be announced in June.

The USRB officials have asked the district heads to reply to them at the earliest.

Due to the nationwide lockdown, the browsing centre shops have been closed since March 24.

The fourth phase of the lockdown is effective from May 18 to May 31 and the state government has relaxed several business entities to open for their profession.

Officials said that the browsing centres will remain open, so that common public can access and apply for the various jobs including Grade II Police Constables, Jail Warders, Firemen Out; Check at

The TNUSRB is recruiting people for the posts of a police constable, jail warder and fireman. Due to Covid-19 lockdown, the USRB officials have decided to provide adequate time for all the potential candidates to apply for the right job.

It must be noted that the recruitment for sub inspector of police (taluk police, armed reserve, Tamil Nadu Special Police) will start soon.

According to the notification, the online application for the recruitment of sub-inspector of police (Taluk, Armed Reserve, Tamil Nadu Special Police) – 2020 will be available in the last week of June .
