The new Pride bands collection includes two new bands — one standard Sport Band and a Nike Sport Band. Apple will soon be launching new Watch faces that will go in sync with these bands in the coming watchOD 6.2.5, the company announced in a press release.
This is the first time that Nike has also introduced a Pride-themed Apple Watch series band.
Both the standard Sports Band and the Nike Sports Band are listed at $49 on Apple Store. They are available in 40mm and 44mm case sizes which also work with 38mm and 42mm respectively.
Among all the products that Apple sells, the Apple Watch is easily one of the most popular ones. This product, which marked its fifth anniversary this year, has managed to capture a 55% market share in the global smartwatch in the first quarter of 2020.
Neil Mawston, executive director at Strategy Analytics, added, “Apple Watch shipped 7.6 million units worldwide in Q1 2020, rising an above-average 23% from 6.2 million in Q1 2019. Apple’s global smartwatch market share has grown from 54% to 55%, its highest level for two years. Apple Watch continues to fend off strong competition from hungry rivals like Garmin and Samsung. Apple Watch owns half the worldwide smartwatch market and remains the clear industry leader.”
